Karakteristik Interaksi Air - CO2 - CaCO3 dan Analisis Sistem Aliran Air Tanah Karst Musim Kemarau di Kab. Gunungkidul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta

Abstract


Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengukuran sifat fisika dan kimia air di lapangan berupa suhu, daya hantar listrik, pH, dan ion HCO3-, serta analisis hidrokimia di laboratorium terhadap contoh air dari sumur bor, mata air, dan sungai bawah tanah. Interpretasi aliran air tanah karst sebagai bentuk interaksi antara air (H2O), CO2, dan CaCO3 dilakukan dengan menghitung indeks kejenuhan CaCO3 dan tekanan parsial CO2. Hasil analisis menunjukkan air tanah pada mata air dan sungai bawah tanah memiliki tingkat interaksi air- CaCO3 lebih singkat dan interaksi air-CO2 lebih lama dibanding air tanah pada sumur bor. Kondisi tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa sistem akuifer karst pada satuan plato Wonosari memiliki karakter aliran difusi yang bersifat tertutup, sedangkan pada satuan perbukitan karst Gunungsewu menunjukkan adanya perubahan karakter aliran secara difusi pada zona epikarst menjadi aliran konduit.

This study was conducted by measuring the physical and chemical properties of water in the field: temperature, electrical conductivity, pH, and HCO3-, as well as hydrochemical analysis of major ions in the laboratory against water samples from boreholes, springs, and underground rivers. Groundwater flow system as a result of water-CO2-CaCO3 interaction is interpreted by calculating the saturation index of CaCO3 and the partial pressure of CO2. The results of the analysis show that groundwater in springs and underground rivers have shorter water-rock interaction and longer water-CO2 interactions than groundwater in boreholes. This condition indicates that the karst aquifer system in the Wonosari plateau unit has a character of diffusion flow (closed system), whereas in the Gunungsewu karst hills shows a change in the character of the flow diffusion in the epikarst zone into a conduit flow.
